Will GTA 6 support mods?
Rockstar has not announced official mod support for Grand Theft Auto VI. History suggests the PC release will become the modding platform of choice — GTA V's OpenIV, Script Hook V, and FiveM communities will almost certainly port their tooling. Console mods are not expected.
How to install GTA 6 mods (safely)
- Wait for the PC release — there is no safe way to mod the PS5/Xbox version.
- Back up your save file before installing any mod.
- Use trusted sources only — GTA5-Mods, Nexus Mods, the modder's own site.
- Never install mods on your online profile — it gets you banned.

First proper PC mods land within days of the PC release. Expect graphics presets first, then trainers, vehicle packs, and full map mods within weeks. The big total-conversion mods (FiveM-style) take 6–12 months.
Will GTA 6 mods get me banned online?
Yes if you use them on GTA 6 Online. Rockstar has zero tolerance for mods touching multiplayer. Stick to single-player profiles, and never connect to Rockstar Games Social Club while modded.
Can you mod GTA 6 on PS5 or Xbox?
No. Console hardware is locked. Modding is PC-only and always will be — same story as every previous GTA.
What's the best GTA 6 mod menu?
Mod menus don't exist yet (the game isn't out). When they do, only use offline. The community will follow Script Hook V's release cadence — usually within a month of PC launch.
